MEDECO High Security Lock System for Mobile Two-Way Radios

Hugh Goulding, President of E TIP, Inc. announces the addition of the Medeco Lock Cylinder into its line of high security Locking Radio Cage TM Mounts for mobile two-way radios. Designed to prevent tampering, unauthorized removal and theft of mobile two-way radios, the E TIPTM Locking Radio Cage™ Mount security will be increased with the addition of the Medeco Lock Cylinder.

Mobile Two-Way Radios are the critical component in Home Land Security and every other function of police, fire and other emergency first responders.

Securing these radios where they are used protects against compromised communications that result when a critical piece of equipment is missing.

Industry and commerce have also embraced the new mobile radio designs. Cost saving new features such as GPS positioning and location of equipment and personnel have justified the performance of advanced mobile radio communications. The prudent communications manager now looks to protect the costlier investment in these radios and the critical communications capability they represent.

Long recognized for its high level pick-resistant features, the Medeco Lock Cylinder uses a flat key with a unique key cut that lifts and turns each pin. In addition, a side bar inside the cylinder must be depressed before the key can be turned to open the lock. Stainless steel rods inside the top of the cylinder provide further protection against drilling and slide hammer pulling.
